Managing the Development of a Client Profitability Management Information System
Client Business Issues:
A leading global investment bank was using an outdated system to report corporate-level client revenue and profitability. The system did not meet our client’s minimum requirements and relied upon error prone and inefficient processes, and also required significant manual reconciliation of source data. Moreover, the system and subsequent executive information reporting processes were not run in a controlled production environment, resulting in data that was not properly secured against modification by unauthorized parties.
Our Approach:
Arc Partners performed a comprehensive review of the existing system and conducted interviews with key personnel to develop current data and system flows. Working closely with business and technology representatives, we identified system requirements and functional improvements, which were based on strong management information process flow architecture. We also led the re-design of the technical architecture to improve flexibility and better support future enhancements. The system was then developed and implemented under our guidance.
